Besides the awareness raising (Article 8) effect of Voice of Disability, it deploys two programmes to give ‘life’ to these voices. These are Personal Assistance Services (Article 19) and Universal Design (Article 9).

The Personal Assistance Services will combat the root cause of the problems faced by disabled women, which is lack of access to mainstream society. With Personal Assistance Service, disabled women will be able to participate freely and equitably in society. The Universal Design programme will focus mainly on information and communication technology (ICTs) and structural access, but also product and services accessibility.

I think a hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.
